One of the oldest botanical gardens in Hungary, the National Botanical Garden of Vácrátót has a history of more than 230 years. With about 13,000 species, the country's richest collection of living plants can be found here. In the arboretum, the former count's castle garden, we can find a Seed Bank Collection, a water mill, special plant-houses, and in addition to numerous permanent exhibitions, the series of science and communication events called “The third power of the Garden” was also located here.
