Adult-only recreation, not just for parents

Although the concept of adult-only has been known in Western Europe and the Mediterranean countries for a long time, in Hungary it has only really started to gain ground in the last decade. However, the demand is undoubtedly growing: there is an increasing demand for locations and programmes that are exclusively for adults. Today, you can expect not only a retreat, but also gastronomic experiences, thematic programmes and undisturbed relaxation. This approach has now become the focus of the philosophy of several domestic hotels and restaurants.

Today, it is no longer a scandal to look for programmes specifically for adults. The Cellar Tour programme of the Törley Champagne Winery in Budafok, held on the first Saturday of every month, is an excellent example of how a thematic event can be a cultural, gastronomic and adult-only experience at the same time. During the walk, you can explore the exciting, underground, vaulted passages, while gaining insight into the history of the Törley family and the Hungarian champagne production. The highlight of the guided tour is, of course, the tasting, during which visitors can taste three tank-fermented Törley products. There are not only more and more adult-only programmes in Hungary, but also accommodations offering adult-friendly services. These facilities – or some of them – usually do not accept guests under the age of 14, 16 or 18. Adult-only accommodations are primarily characterised by cosy interiors, wellness services for couples and adult-friendly gastronomic experiences.
