A loveable, human-face place was opened in 2017 in the villa of painter István Farkas, on the hillside near the Kamon-stone, which is accessible through a long stairway. However, reaching the terrace a welcoming glass of elderflower champagne and the gorgeous panorama to the Bay of Szigliget immediately makes up for the fatigue. From the kitchen of Villa Kabala’s gourmet restaurant we may order an exquisite dinner menu and a la carte lunch, and if we stay in any of the six rooms, next morning a royal meal of a breakfast is going to be our reward. All dishes are seasonal, and typically made of local ingredients.
