‘Vászolyi Sajtmanufaktúra’ (Vászoly Cheese Manufacture) was founded by an economist couple: Kálmán Reményik changed the management of a company, while his wife changed the management of an accounting firm to pasteurisation, fermentation and aging. And as usually happens in case of love-projects: where the product is prepared with a heart and soul, it is good for sure. The multiple award winner Vászoly cheeses are present today not only in the best restaurants and delicatessen of the Balaton Uplands, but all over Hungary. On Saturdays it’s worth it to visit the manufacture personally, and to listen carefully, learn, taste, and take home a small fairing.
