The longest-running restaurant in Győr has been operating since the early 1800s in the old town, near the castle, not far from the riverbank. The chequered tablecloth setting features homemade flavours, special fish dishes such as zander in cheese sauce, mustard fried carp, fish soup and vinegary fish, and freshly made cottage cheese noodles with crackling made from home-made pasta, to name just a few of the guests favourites. In good weather, you can also sit out on the terrace and have a glass of wine. It is recommended to ask for baked crackling scones baked on-site as a wine tasting snack.
