Spices, flavours, chocolate! Eden chocolate tasting

Cinnamon, vanilla and chilli are not new additions to the world of chocolate: even the Maya and the Aztecs flavoured their cocoa drinks with spices. On 20 November, at the tasting event organised by Édeni Édességek (‘Heavenly Sweets’) in Szentendre, we can trace the origins of this centuries-old connection through a tasting of eleven different chocolates. Alongside the familiar flavours, there will also be versions featuring tonka bean, coffee, citrus and salt. The tasting selection ranges from chocolate bars to dragees and bonbons, whilst also revealing how a single spice can take the flavour of cocoa in a completely different direction.
