Opera where you’d least expect it
The Eger Chamber Opera Festival likes to step outside the usual boundaries. In the past, opera has been performed in a shopping centre, music and literature have been brought together in the Lyceum Chapel, and a contemporary world premiere has also featured during the four-day event. The point is not simply to present opera on a smaller scale: the festival seeks out new settings for it, whilst also bringing different parts of Eger into the mix.
