Fresh fish arrives at the Budaörs fish market 6 days a week. On the counters, you can find Norwegian, Croatian, Maldivian and New Zealand fins, among others, but in addition to the international selection, you can also catch Hungarian specialities such as “szikiponty” (Hungarian type of carp) or African catfish from Szarvas. Fish and seafood can be bought cleaned, sliced and packaged. Theres no shortage of spices, sushi supplies, oils, even caviar and fish-matching wines. There are regular community events at the market, or you can book in for a themed cooking show and dinner.
