Today, the family business in Balatonalmádi is run by the daughter and granddaughter of the former founder, Gyula Szabó, Éva and Zsuzsa. Though the recipes have not changed over time: start your day with a traditional chocolate roll or one of the guests' favourites, the cheese-cloth, and you will not be disappointed. Using only salt, flour and water, the bread is baked crispy in a centuries-old oven. Kugel, with its flaky pepita dough, is also a delicacy hard to resist.
