Németh Porta az Őrségben

Traditional peasant farm in Őrség. Visit the family-owned farm in Nagyrákos to learn about the secrets of animal farming and milk processing. Visitors are introduced to the farm by the story teller of Őrség, Eszter Baksa, wife of István Németh. Anita Németh is in charge of making cheese and other dairy products from the cows’ milk, including gomolya cheese, semi-hard and kneaded cheese, but you can even find some orda cheese excellent as a dessert. These cheese products are also available at the farmers’ market in Őriszentpéter and at the market in Szalafő, but if you want to buy them at the farm, you should book an appointment in advance.
