Helka Sörfőzde

As a brewery in Balatonföldvár, the main goal of the Helka is to provide the Balaton region with quality small-scale beers – you can taste the full repertoire of these drinks in the pub located in the former MÁV building in Földvár. The catering unit, which is open all year round, also offers a number of other carefully selected Balaton products, ranging from green walnut jam to Hungarian designer badges. In cloudy, cool weather, the roofed terrace is transformed into a shelter from the wind – even then, it is a special experience to have a beer accompanied by the sound of a train whistle, or even play table football. The brewery operating in the building can be visited by prior appointment: within the framework of a guided tour, you can get an insight into the beer-making processes and at the same time learn about the colourful history of the Helka.
