The pig-slaughtering festivities begin in the morning, with dancing to follow in the evening

Work gets underway early in the morning at the Dunaharaszti Country House: the traditional Swabian pig slaughter demonstrates, using old tools and methods, how the pig slaughter was once carried out. Not only can you watch each stage of the process, but there will also be tastings on offer, and on this chilly November morning you can warm yourself up with a sip of pálinka, wine, mulled wine or tea. In the evening, the work turns into a celebration: the programme continues at the József Attila Cultural Centre with a Pig-Slaughtering Ball and a pig-slaughtering feast. Thus, a single day encompasses the presentation of old Swabian traditions, the tasting of freshly prepared dishes, and the communal celebration that used to be just as much a part of a pig-slaughtering feast as the work itself.
