The name of Szabolcs Szabadfi, or Szabi, the baker is known almost throughout the country in connection with sourdough. After Panificio il Basilico in Szentendre, the latest venture of Szabolcs is the Bazsalikom Bakery on the Paprikabíró Street, which is a real multifunctional space, as it is a restaurant, bakery and workshop venue in one. Fresh sourdough breads, rolls and special sandwiches are made in the cosy workshop, and behind the building you can take part in various courses. Another highlight of the Bazsalikom is the huge garden at the end of the courtyard, where so many delicacies are grown for their excellent bakery products.
