The lesser-known flavors of the Mátra wine region bottled. The family winery in Gyöngyöstarján is run by father and son. They work with many different grape varieties: white wines are made from Riesling Italian, Sauvignon Blanc, and Grüner Veltliner, among others, while red wines are mainly made from Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Blaufränkisch. The winery is open all year round, and after registering, you can take part in a cellar tour and guided tasting. For the latter, you can order salty scones, a cheese platter, or bread and lard as a snack to accompany the wine.
