In the northern part of the Bükk Mountains, in the valley of the Bán Stream, is the historically significant Platty-Vladár Castle. The beautiful Baroque building, built in 1752, is also associated with the name of Ferenc Kazinczy, but from among the most important figures of politics and literary history, Mór Jókai, János Arany and Mihály Tompa were also frequent guests of the castle. The mansion is surrounded by 4.5 hectares of beautiful English parkland.
