Nógrádi vár

An easy hike in the heart of the Börzsöny Mountains. The castle, which dates back nearly a thousand years, is notable for its irregular shape. Underneath the corner bastion, we can see the Millennium Monument, which commemorates the leaders of the Hungarian conquest. The castle is open to visitors all year round and is easily accessible by car; it is only a few minutes’ walk from the free parking lot. The castle offers a magnificent view of the surrounding area, and many people say that it is worth watching the sunset from here at least once in your life.
