Királyréti Erdei Vasút

Hungary’s oldest forest railway line. The 11.5-kilometre-long narrow-gauge railway, which runs between Kismaros and Királyrét, follows the valley of the Morgó stream and reaches its destination in around half an hour. There are several beautiful walking trails leading from Királyrét into the Börzsöny Mountains, but it’s also worth climbing the lookout tower and trying out the horse-drawn carriage. If you get hungry, you can enjoy a hot meal at a pleasant, good-value restaurant by the meadow, and there are also a few gift shops where you can purchase souvenirs.
