The Oremus estate, known as the sister estate of Spain's Vega Sicilia, produces wines from four main grape varieties (“Furmint”, “Hárslevelű”, “Sárgamuskotály” and “Zeta”) often with a unique flavour thanks to several years of ageing in oak barrels. The 13th-century cellar system, the decorative garden and the neoclassical mansion are the atmospheric setting for various wine events, during which the winery's famous “aszú” is definitely worth a try. Cellar visits and wine tasting are by appointment only.
