KőrösHEGYEN-VÖLGYÖN WINE & GASTRONOMY Picnic 2026

On 20 June, the KőrösHEGYEN–VÖLGYÖN WINE & GASTRONOMY Picnic will once again be held in Kőröshegy, focusing on the wines, flavours, and atmosphere of Lake Balaton’s southern shore. The event’s motto this year is once again “P•L•É•D”: Cellar, Lavender, Food, Serenity – in other words, everything you need for a full day of wine-tasting and picnicking. At the open-air venues, local wineries, producers, and caterers will showcase what the southern shore of Lake Balaton has to offer: light white wines, rosés, homemade syrups, street food dishes, artisanal delicacies, and lavender-infused specialities are all on the menu. Participants include, among others, Gelencsér Winery, Helka Brewery, Kékajtó Winery, Törzsök Winery, and Völgyhíd Kitchen & Meadow. One of the festival’s unique features is that it doesn’t take place at a single location: you can wander from winery to winery along routes winding through the hills, while live music, a folk courtyard, sunset wine tastings, and panoramic views of Lake Balaton round out the programme. It’s also a good idea to bring a picnic blanket.
