16th Tihany Mulled Wine Brewing Competition

On the first Saturday in December, the scent of cinnamon, cloves and mulled wine will fill Ferenc Mádl Square: for the sixteenth time, Tihany’s mulled wine-making teams will be competing with their recipes. The competition begins at 3.00 p.m. and is one of the recurring Advent events of the ‘Waiting for Christmas Days’. The afternoon is not just about tasting. This year’s programme includes a merry-go-round, festive music, artificial snow and the arrival of Father Christmas, whilst the teams prepare their own spiced drinks in cauldrons. At the end of the day, it will be revealed which recipe most impressed the judges.
