Fügés kert

The Ferenczi family has been growing figs for years in Lenti, Zala County. Around 700 plants produce nearly 80 varieties of figs, which, after some gastronomic metamorphosis, are sold in the form of chocolate filled with fig pálinka, fig fruit sausages, sugared and sugar-free jam and dried purple figs. Around Christmas, it's especially worth checking out the “Fügés kert” (Fig Garden) Facebook page; if you are lucky, you can even get a chance to grab some fig chocolate for your Christmas tree. Fun fact: pomegranates and even kiwis are grown on the plantation. And on the terrace above the garden, you can see two different ways to drying figs.
