A true star in Eger—let’s get to know the Egri Csillag better!
During the Egri Csillag Weekend, the wineries’ stands line up in their usual formation on Dobó Square. You can taste wines everywhere. The winemakers offer their fresh vintages side by side, ranging from lighter, fruity wines to more serious, barrel-aged varieties. The tastings are accompanied by street food, so it’s worth staying for a while. The programme kicks off with the wine competition awards ceremony, followed by a series of jazz and light music concerts. After the downtown area, the weekend continues in Szépasszony Valley, where you can visit open cellars.
