Smoke, embers, and the BBQ vibe on the banks of the Danube
In mid-May, the main square in Nagymaros and the Danube promenade will be shrouded in smoke for three days: the first-ever BBQ festival is the perfect combination of slow-cooked dishes and an open-air festival atmosphere. The crackling of embers, the aroma of juicy meats cooking, and the rhythm of live music will accompany the weekend. The event centres on BBQ and grilling competitions, where participants will test their skills in the categories of hamburgers, pork chops, and whole pig. In addition to the spectacular roasting, visitors will have the opportunity to sample the finished dishes: a line-up of food trucks offers smoky, crispy, and juicy foods, while exhibitors showcase grilling tools and techniques.
