Regéci vár

The 14th-century castle, where Ferenc Rákóczi II studied as a child, was also one of the most important border castles of the later Kuruc armament. The fortress can be reached by car through the villages of Korlát and Fony, and from the foot of the hill, there is another one and a half kilometre walk through the forest. The castle offers a magnificent panorama of Fony, Regéc, surrounded by mountains, and the snowy Slovak hills on the horizon.
