A month when even a stroll through the town centre becomes a festive event
From the end of November until Christmas, the town centre of Zalaegerszeg takes on a completely different rhythm. During Egerszegi Advent, Dísz Square and the surrounding area are decked out with festive lights, market stalls and winter delicacies in preparation for December. Amidst the scent of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts, you can browse through handmade gifts, whilst the illuminated streets provide the perfect excuse for an evening stroll on any ordinary day. One of the best things about the event is that you don’t need to organise a full day’s programme: a quick spot of shopping, a meet-up with friends or a family afternoon can easily turn into an Advent outing.
