Santa Claus House in Nagykarácsony

Few places in Hungary have a name as fitting for the Advent season as Nagykarácsony, which literally translates as “Great Christmas.” In this village, the festive spirit goes far beyond its name: from late November, Santa’s House opens its doors once again, giving children the chance to meet Santa in person, share their Christmas wishes with him, and catch a glimpse of the magic of the Christmas preparations. What makes the visit truly special is that Santa does not simply appear for a brief meet-and-greet; he welcomes families into his very own festive home.
