After the jack-o’-lanterns, it’s time for a ghost hunt
First, the jack-o’-lanterns are being carved; then, as darkness falls, the fun begins around the Eötvös Károly Community Centre! The Halloween programme in Alsóörs features pumpkin carving, a fancy dress show and a group jack-o’-lantern walk, thus the afternoon gradually gives way to a slightly spookier evening. Once it’s dark, participants can look forward to ‘courage boxes’, a balloon ghost hunt, spooky brainteasers and the witch’s cauldron – and they can also set off in search of the witch’s hidden treasure. It’s more of a playful, family-friendly Halloween than a genuine scare – with just the right amount of thrills to suit a late October evening.
