The history of the imposing Kölcsey-Kende Mansion dates back to the 1800’s, when Zsigmond Kende had his noble residence built by the Szamos River. The castle was used as a children’s home from the 1950’s until it underwent extensive renovation. Today, you can see a unique exhibition within its walls, and its English landscape-style park is exceptional, with a sycamore tree over seven metres tall!
