Vitányvár

In the footsteps of castle ruins in Vértessomlyó. According to many, the ruins hidden deep in the Vértes Forest can be most conveniently reached from the tourist lodge in Csákányospuszta. There are several sights to see along the way, and you can even stop for a picnic at the Körtvélyesi lookout point or the Szép-Ilona spring. All that remains of the castle, which once had towers 15 meters high, are ruins that are barely visible through the trees. It is an adventurous challenge to get close to them, but it is worth it. Due to the danger of collapse, climbing on the ruined walls is prohibited.
