Forgách-Lipthay Kastélymúzeum

The castle in the centre of Szécsény is a valuable monument of Hungarian rural Baroque architecture. Although the building in its present form is more than 250 years old, it was already a medieval fortress in the 15th century. Today the building is home to a museum, library and several exhibitions of archaeological and historical relics bearing the name MNM Forgách-Lipthay Kastélymúzeum. Its former English parkland is a nature reserve.
