Monumental melodies and the silence of the church
The vast spaces of the Eger Basilica host a unique musical experience: during the organ concerts held in the summer, the most famous works of classical music are performed. At the heart of the sound is the church’s monumental organ, with 104 stops and 5 manuals, which offers a truly unique acoustic experience. The concerts take place from June through the end of September, starting at 12:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and at 12:45 PM on Sundays, with a programme lasting approximately 20–30 minutes. The repertoire includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, César Franck, Léon Boëllmann, and Louis Vierne, among others.Tickets for the concerts and performances are available at the visitor centre of the Eger Basilica.
