At the border of Mátraszentlászló and Mátraszentistván, the barely 781-meter-high Vörös-kő (Red Stone) peaks, which is a sharp ridge of hard andesite in the Upper Mátra. It got its name from the reddish coloured stones found in the area. At the top, you can climb up to a building with a spiral staircase, from where you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the area. From the lookout point, you can see the towers of Galyatető, the northern part of Mátra, the small settlements of Western Mátra, but in clear weather you can even see the mountain ranges of the Highlands. Several hiking trails lead up to the lookout point, you can find the nearest parking lot next to the Mátraszentistván playground.
