Nyírjesi Füvészkert és Vadaspark

Plants and animals in a stunning natural setting, near Balassagyarmat. In the 22-hectare herb garden, you can make friends with special plants from Europe, North America and Asia, including also sequoia and bamboo on the 2-kilometre nature trail. The wildlife park is home to a variety of deer, as well as racka sheep, ponies and alpacas. There is a petting zoo for children and a playground in the park. The facility is also available for organizing class trips and forest schools.
