December isn’t just about the Christmas markets when it comes to visiting Győr: this year, the organisers of the HORN Christmas Run are bringing the city to life for the thirtieth time. At this anniversary running event, participants can complete their chosen distance on the streets of Győr city centre and the Révfalu district, whilst this year’s Advent preparations are accompanied by trainers and even a Santa hat. The race centre for the event on 13 December will be Tulipános Primary School, with the race starting at 10.00 a.m. The youngest participants are invited to take part in a 1.3-kilometre children’s run, whilst adults can test their limits over 4, 8 or 12 kilometres. The 12-kilometre route can also be completed as a three-person relay, and there is an 8-kilometre route for Nordic walking enthusiasts.
