With the arrival of good weather, lovers of water sports venture out on the lake again: you can explore the lake's hidden corners and wildlife by boating or kayaking. Do not miss the exciting boat tours, during which you can roam the diverse areas of the lake with the help of local tour guides!

Even in spring, the Tisza Lake Eco-centre receives us with open arms with the largest freshwater aquarium in Europe, where you can find all the fish species of Lake Tisza and the Tisza, and you can even participate in otter feeding. It is worth keeping an eye on the programmes of the eco-centre throughout the year, as nature lovers are constantly awaited by exciting programmes. In the pleasant spring weather let’s climb up to the 7-story high lookout tower, from where we can see the entire Poroszló basin.

The summer period is the real highlight of Lake Tisza, it tempts everyone to go to the beach, play water sports and relax by the lake. Bathing in the sun on the shores or in the cool water of the lake, you can experience the unadulterated summer. This is when the lake becomes a truly outstanding destination for water sports: boating, kayaking, sailing, water skiing, wakeboarding, SUP and we could list more. Here, everyone can find the water adventure that best suits them. The Abádszalók beach is a favourite of many of us with its iconic slide, a real multifunctional entertainment facility with giant slides, sand soccer and beach volleyball courts, a garden cinema and bouncy castles, so that even the smallest ones will have an unforgettable holiday.

If it is summer, then beach, if it is beach, then a beach buffet. It is not different at Lake Tisza either, the smell of sun lotion of the bathers is mixed with the smell of freshly fried fish. You do not have to go far for a friendly buffet, the Stég Halsütöde in Tiszafüred, with its relaxed atmosphere, is a great choice. The dishes are simple, yet refined, showing respect for local fishing traditions.

With the arrival of autumn, the shores of Lake Tisza undergo a colourful transformation again. The weather, with its pleasant, warm breezes from summer, is just perfect for exploring the area, whether hiking or cycling. The bicycle network around Lake Tisza has become a real favourite of families in recent years, which is no accident: its easy-to-follow route, studded with protected sections and beautiful natural attractions, captivates us as we run the kilometres.

And if the weather turns gloomier, the autumn months are perfect for getting to know the cultural heritage of Lake Tisza. Let's visit the museums and exhibitions in the area, where we can get an insight into the life of old times and the history of the region! At the Pál Kiss Museum in Tiszafüred, in addition to the ethnographic and archaeological permanent exhibition, exciting temporary exhibitions and museum education programmes await us, and in Tiszaszentimre we can see the Private Collection of Ecclesiastical Sealed Bricks, which is unique in Europe.

Lake Tisza is also a magical place in winter, when the snow-covered landscapes of the coastal areas and the crystal-clear ice cover of the frozen lake offer a fascinating sight. Do not miss sports such as ice skating or leak fishing, during which you can discover the surroundings of the lake from a completely new perspective. During the winter trips, the hidden beauties and natural wonders of the shores of Lake Tisza open up before us. Vegetation and wildlife hidden under the snow-cover offer a special experience to enjoy the silence of nature. In the winter months, the bird life of Lake Tisza is also exciting: fowling on the frozen lake is a great opportunity to observe migrating birds and the winter bird life.
