Lake Balaton already vibrates in March, this is when the Taste Balaton festival is held. Take out the calendar: we show you which active programmes are worth visiting during the 10 days of the festival!

Last year, the first Taste Balaton festival was an undisputed success, realized with the co-operation of not less than 26 Balaton restaurants, gastro-hotels, museums and wineries. The organizers' undisclosed intention is to bring local communities and Balaton lovers together within the framework of the gastronomic and cultural event – and this cooperation resulted in a fantastic festival. In the framework of the close cooperation of local restaurants, wineries, producers and cultural institutions, excellent programmes were realized, which attracted people interested in culture and gastronomy from all over the country. The first Taste Balaton ran with sold-out programmes, and based on the feedback from visitors and restaurants, it was beyond question for the organizers that there was a demand for a continuation.

From 7 to 16 March, 2025, the festival will run with even more participants and an even more colourful programme than before: visitors can choose from more than 100 events, from morning brunches to cooking workshops to making ceramics together.

Without the ambition to be exhaustive, there will be a dinner theatre, gastro-tour, gastro-sauna, cocktail tasting, fine art exhibition, BBQ workshop with György Dragomán and András Kepes, Pál Mácsai, Eszter Ráskó, Zoli Beck, Szabolcs Thuróczy, Krisztián Grecsó, numerous winemakers and a fantastic Italian guest region will arrive too! Below, we have collected what you should register for now, if you are interested in active programmes.
