One of the most significant natural attractions of the West Mecsek is the limestone cave in Abaliget, formed in shell limestone. The 466-metre-long developed main branch of the underground stream formation can be visited on foot in street clothes. During the guided tours you can also observe the small and large horseshoe bats that live in the cave. There is a Bat Museum operated next to the cave, and the Bat Trail, which can be followed along three different lengths, starts from here. In warmer weather, you can also go boating, swimming and water biking in the lake in front of the cave!
