Baradla trail – Aggtelek

For adventurers and more experienced hikers, the 8.1-kilometre, 21-stop Baradla trail, which connects the Aggtelek and Jósvafő entrances of the Baradla cave, can be a real challenge. During the tour, you can get to know the diversity of the karst region and you can get closer to understanding the seemingly complicated wonders of the area. On the route between the sinkholes and springs of the Baradla cave, you can study the geological, hydrographic, zoological and botanical values ​​of the area in a wonderful natural environment.

Bivalyos nature trail – Sándorfalva

In Sándorfalva, on the edge of the Nádastó Leisure Park, you can walk through the former flood plain of the Tisza on a 500-metre nature trail. Walking on the board-walks, a world unfolds before your eyes that you would otherwise not see: the world of swampy, floodplain forests. On the route, you can look in the buffalos’ "musing", but you can also hang out on hammocks and rest in unique wooden houses. At the end of the nature trail, you can observe the wet and reedy landscape under your feet from a lookout point. There is also a playground and sports fields on the nearby Nádas Lake beach.

Bozótmíves nature trail – Gödöllő

The first Bushcraft nature trail in our country was dreamt up by enthusiastic nature lovers who are also well versed in survival practices. Bush-craftsmen, like the famous British scout Bear Grylls, introduce hikers to the tricks of bivouac construction, orientation, fire lighting and access to water at the stations of the nature trail. The length of the nature trail is 1.6 kilometres, during which you will find 7 stations, and in addition to many survival practices, you can also learn about special recipes, the ingredients of which can be found in the forest.

Gyada nature trail – Katalinpuszta

One of the most exciting and spectacular nature trails in Hungary starts from the Katalinpuszta Hiking Centre in Szendehely. The 6.1 kilometre route is particularly child-friendly; there is little difference in level along the easy-to-follow T-sign, and part of it can be perambulated with a stroller. As for the thrills and sights: on the nature trail you can walk on wooden platforms and a giant suspension bridge through the marsh, and at the hiking centre you can rest on a huge, modern playground after the tour.

Sás Valley nature trail – Hetvehely

In Hetvehely, in the neighbourhood of the Squirrel School Forestry Forest School, you can literally climb into the canopy. The Sás Valley nature trail meanders through the trees for 50 metres at a height of about six metres. Thanks to the displayed information boards, you can get to know the "stars" of the canopy level; the caring parents, the forest record holders and the special foliage inhabitants. In addition to the short, but all the more exciting promenade, there is also a great playground, as well as a den and nest school, but you can also walk through the forest along the yellow circle tourist sign. 

Teknős (Turtle) nature trail – Dunakeszi

The Teknős nature trail leading inside the peat bog leads hikers along a special, 900-metre-long board-walk. On the route, instead of classic informative boards and stations, interactive puzzles await young and old. In addition to the exciting puzzles, the nature trail also includes an inclined climbing wall and a rope jungle gym designed for bird watching - so the Teknős nature trail can be a real experience not only for children, but also for adults thanks to its architectural solutions and exciting design.

Vízfő nature trail – Orfű

A 1-kilometre-long nature trail starts from the Mill Museum in Orfű, which leads through the protected alder forest on a marked board-walk to György Csete's special Spring House. The trail follows the bed of the stream all the way to the Vízfő spring, while the information boards help you get to know the flora and fauna of the area better. The nature trail can be visited for free, but as an extra programme you can sign up for the games "What the Alder Forest Hides" or "The Great Adventure of the Bear Ant". After the tour visit Garat, where you can enjoy quality coffee, sourdough bread and pastries.
