Hegypanoráma (‘Mountain Panorama’) Apartment – Nemesgulács

The village hiding at the foot of Badacsony invites all those who want to relax with its beautiful green slopes. In Nemesgulács, up on the vineyard, this beautifully designed apartment awaits you in its peaceful splendour, with a small wine cellar next to the house, where you can easily slip down for a glass of 1-2 spritzers on a hot early autumn day.

Walking on the terrace, you have a direct view of the mountainside, which makes you feel as if you are really resting at the foot of a real jungle, behind God’s back. If you want to wander around Badacsony, you can start from here and go stargazing.

Gosztola Gyöngye (‘The Pearl of Gosztola’) Wellness Hotel – Gosztola

Gosztola is one of our smallest villages, located 5 km from the town of Lenti, near the Slovenian, Croatian and Austrian borders. With a total population of 36 people at last count, you can expect a quiet getaway if you find this small village nestled in dense pine forests.

The Gosztola Gyöngye Wellness Hotel, furnished according to feng shui principles, welcomes with open doors those who are tired of the year-long drive and wish to recharge their physical and mental batteries. In a family environment, in the hospitality of Zala, you can retreat for a little spiritual recharging, who would like to get away from the noise of the world.

Tengerszem Camping & Holiday Park – Megyer-Hegy “Tarn”

Near Sárospatak, you will find one of the most exciting standing lakes in Hungary, whose surroundings are in the greenest shades in spring and summer, and then as we shuffle towards autumn, the green splendour changes to a golden yellow autumnal robe of a cavalcade of colours. Contrary to its name, this lake is not a tarn, but a mining lake.

There is hardly any part of the world where mining is not a half-empty, incomplete mountain. But Megyer Hill is one of those special places where we can experience that “extraction” turns into something of a natural wonder. This is evidenced by the fact that the lake and its surroundings have been a Nature Conservation Area of National Importance since 1997, managed by the Aggtelek National Park Directorate.

As tempting as the experience is, swimming and boating in the lake is forbidden, but in 2020, a via ferrata was created on the rock face.

As you walk up the forest path to the sea at the top of the hill, the space expands and you are immediately taken in by the view. In front of your feet, 20-30 metres of vertical cliffs break into the dark brown waters of the lake. Moss, shrubs and bushes grow in many places on the sides of the cliffs, and around it old growth forest sits like a crown around the mountain.

Kerca Biofarm – Kercaszomor, Őrség

The villages of the Őrség region have a magical effect on young and old alike. Walking in the woods, deer and roe deer quietly invite you to discover the wonders of Kercaszomor.

The Kerca Biofarm offers you a unique environment, Andalusian horses, guesthouses and canopies on a real organic farm in the heart of Őrség. The estate is a family horse farm, not just for riders. It is located in the centre of the Őrség National Park, in the small village of Kercaszomor, a one-street village of 245 people. The 10-hectare farm is situated right next to the forest, on the banks of the Kerca stream, and only 8 km from the “capital” of the Őrség, Őriszentpéter. The guesthouses are set at small distances from each other – like a small village within a village. There’s a guesthouse with a porch and fireplace for those looking for a rural idyll, a rustic canopy house for nature lovers or a cosy apartment with a large kitchen for those with children.

Duna Twinhouse – Dömös, Dunakanyar

Perhaps the most famous viewpoint of the Pilis, the wooden chalets built at the foot of the Prédikálószék (‘Pulpit Rock’) await those seeking the relaxing atmosphere of the forest. The chalets provide comfort for visitors in winter and summer, while the large panoramic windows connect you with the embrace of the Dömös mountains. From the jacuzzi on the terraces, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramas of Hungary: the Danube bend smiling back at you, with the meandering, galloping Danube.
