Hello Tourist Hungary Application Privacy Policy
The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to present what personal data we process and in what manner is connection with the use of the Hello Tourist Hungary application („application").

Purposes of processing personal data
In connection with the maintenance and provision of the Application as an information society service, we may process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Login, user account management: the processing of your data is justified for us to be able to identify you as a user and provide access to the Application's services. The legal basis for the processing of your data is the implementation of the Application's terms of use as a contractual legal basis.
- Operation of the application: During the operation of the application, we collect and process data on your device in order to provide the service, in accordance with the application’s privacy and cookie policy. The purpose of data processing is to improve the functionality and quality of the application, to simplify and enhance the user experience (for example, by making navigation and interactions easier), and to properly manage security and privacy risks. For this purpose, the application uses so-called analytical data and device identifiers.
- Providing customer service (contact): The processing of your data is necessary so that we can respond to the question or complaint indicated in your inquiry. The legal basis for this data processing is our legitimate interest.
- Profiling: For users who have already registered in the application, we provide the opportunity to specify their tourism-related interests and preferences, allowing them to indicate the topics they find most relevant. Based on this information, we categorize users in order to send them personalized attraction recommendations through the application, tailored to their individual interests. The legal basis for this data processing is the voluntary consent of the data subject.
Providing data is voluntary, however, in some cases we will not be able to answer your questions or provide you with the Application services without it.
Type of personal data processed
In order to achieve the purposes set out above, we process the following categories of personal data:
- Login and user account data: identification data (name, e-mail address and password), Facebook/Google authentication token, login confirmation code.
- End-user data: User data: the data controller uses the user’s data exclusively in an anonymized form, for statistical analyses, and to refine personalized program recommendations, which constitute one of the main functions of the application.
- Customer service data: name, e-mail address, data of request, application or complaint.
- Profiling data: name, e-mail address and answers given regarding travel habits.
Legal bases for processing your personal data
We rely on various legal bases in order to process your personal data:
- If you give your consent, we will process your personal data based on point a) of paragraph (1) of Article 6 of the GDPR (“Consent”).
