Alpine tobogganing in the Danube Bend: Visegrád Bobsleigh Track

If you’re in the mood for a little speed, you’ll find a great bobsled track in Visegrád. On the approximately 700-meter-long alpine and summer track, children over three years old can ride in two-person bobsleds with their parents, while those over eight can tackle the slope on their own. The speed of the “vehicles” is adjustable, so both those who prefer a more exhilarating pace and the cautious thrill-seekers can find what they’re looking for. It’s quite possible that one run won’t be enough! It’s worth buying a ticket valid for multiple runs so you can truly enjoy everything the track has to offer.

Sliding and climbing in Göd, at the Dunakaland Adventure Park

Located in the Danube Bend, right on the riverbank, the Göd adventure park is a great choice if you’re looking for an active outing near Budapest. In addition to the rope courses, team games, slides, and challenging climbing elements are also available, making it a great activity for both groups of friends and families. Among the obstacles of varying difficulty, both beginners and more experienced visitors can find the ideal challenge for them.

Those who love speed can also take part in off-road and ATV tours, but there are also opportunities for dragon boating and motorboat adventures. The venue is also suitable for school field trips as well as bachelor and bachelorette parties, and the shaded surroundings and proximity to the Danube make it particularly pleasant during the summer months.

Adventures on four wheels, without limits: Hungaroring, Mogyoród

The Mogyoród racetrack is best known as the venue for the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, but it offers a wide range of car and motorcycle programs throughout the year. Experience drives, family programs, driving technique training sessions, as well as corporate team-building events and special events are all hosted at the Hungaroring Driving Center and the off-road track. The youngest visitors aren’t forgotten either: children can learn the basics of traffic rules and safe driving in a playful way on the MiniRing track.

At the Hungaroring Driving Center, adventure seekers can take part in a variety of experiential programs: they can test a car’s limits, experience navigating on slippery surfaces, or drive a right-hand-drive “blind” car, or even a vehicle with reverse steering. At the Mogyoród racetrack, you can also participate in numerous other programs throughout the year: at pre-announced times, activities such as airsoft, night runs, go-karting, and track tours await those interested.

Jumps, turns, and clouds of dust at the Piliscsév MX Center

A well-known destination for advanced thrill-seekers is the Piliscsév MX Center, one of Hungary’s oldest and most historic motorsports centres for motocross. Thanks to the varied terrain and track sections, whether you prefer motocross or are a fan of enduro, you can find the ideal challenge for yourself; plus, you can practice with four-wheeled vehicles on a separate track. Thanks to the technical trails, you can not only put your skills to the test, but the track is also ideal for more experienced riders! With its dusty sections, deep ruts, and jumps, the MX Centrum is a particularly good choice for those who enjoy physically demanding, adrenaline-pumping activities.
