Trout by the lake, jazz above the water
At the end of September, on the shores of Malom Lake, trout is served in a wide variety of ways. It is prepared smoked over beech wood, grilled, with a honey and almond glaze or even in a pumpkin seed coating, and the fish come from a farm operating near the event. The Trout and Wine Festival will be held for the fourteenth time in 2026, taking place over three days along the lakeside promenades. The festival really comes into its own in the evening. Jazz, blues and acoustic concerts take place on the floating stage, whilst in the Wine Courtyard visitors can sample wines from Lake Balaton and the surrounding area, all whilst lights shimmer on the surface of Malom Lake.
