At Miskolc Zoo, the animals aren’t left out of the festive gift-giving either. On 27 December, they’ll be treated to their favourite delicacies during special feeding sessions, so visitors can also watch as each animal unwraps – or simply devours – the Christmas surprise they’ve received from their keepers in their own unique way. The programme will begin at 9.00 am, and the communal feeding of the animals at the nativity scene will also be part of the day’s activities. Based on last year’s programme, it’s worth allowing plenty of time for a longer walk: on that occasion, feeding demonstrations featuring a variety of animals – from the lion and the Siberian tiger, through the kangaroo and the macaque, right up to the red fox – followed one after the other.
