It is no coincidence that the Luby Castle is often referred to as “the castle of roses”: the neoclassical building in the typical Szatmár county village of Nagyar is surrounded by a magnificent rose garden, one of the largest and most beautiful in the country, with thousands of cultivated rose varieties and 5,000 rose plants. In the fountain garden with music and a tropical palm tree house, peacocks strolling freely make for an unforgettable visit. There is an exciting interactive exhibition inside the castle and even an escape room was created within the walls.
