The Day of Eger Castle

On 17 October, 1552, the Hungarian armies gained a victory over the Turkish troops in Eger. This special event is celebrated every year at the Eger Castle, of course on 17 October, which posterity named the Day of Eger Castle. Within the framework of the event, we can take part in handicraft programmes that evoke the atmosphere of the time, but there will also be martial arts demonstrations and professional programmes. The organizers are also preparing a historical playhouse for the children, but the museum pedagogy session may also be interesting for many people. One of the main attractions of the event is the salute with the guns.
