Szeged takes music seriously this year as well. The large-scale, three-day event is connected to the feast of the martyr Saint Gellért.
Between 22-30 September, the Saint Gellért International Music Festival is here again. The festival, which promises elevating artistic, cultural and special musical experiences, was founded by the Swiss composer-conductor Robert Bachmann in 2008 together with Kiss-Rigó László, bishop of Szeged-Csanád. Familiar classics were "invited" to the palette of the concerts again: Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Bach, among others, will be performed, but in addition to them, the organizers are preparing many more classical music specialties.
