The construction of the building, said to be the oldest castle in Hungary, was started in the 13th century. It has come under many attacks in the past centuries, but today it is once again restored to its almost original splendour. While children can take part in a princess and squire dress rehearsal, adults will be more interested in the exhibitions and the beautiful Rose Garden. Once a year, for a weekend, the Middle Ages come to life within the walls of this imposing building, with jousting, troubadours and battle scenes.
