Baroque bishop's palace at the foot of Sümeg Castle Hill. Opened between the walls, the exhibition takes us through the life of Bishop Márton Padányi Biró, a bishop full of glory, art, works of art, controversies and failures, and gives a comprehensive picture of the Baroque period. You can also learn about the history of the Viennese painter Franz Anton Maulbertsch, who created the fresco cycle of the “silent sermon” in Sümeg. The impersonation of the bishop and the painter, down to the smallest detail, is sometimes striking, sometimes astonishing, and sometimes contemporary.
