The Art-gallery in Várpalota is not just an exhibition space, but a living witness to the history of the town. The classicist building, built as a synagogue in 1839, survived the enormity of the Holocaust and even a bombing. It has been operating as an art centre since the 1980s, and it functioned as an art-gallery in 2023. Today, it is one of the defining cultural venues in the region, where memories of the past and contemporary art meet. The space with its special atmosphere welcomes visitors with works by renowned artists and intimate exhibitions.
