Ócsa’s historic district feels as though time has been turned back a few decades: thatched-roof farmhouses, old streets and the centuries-old Reformed church make up the Old Village. At the end of September, the Ócsa Old Village Cultural Festival takes place in this setting, showcasing the district’s cultural heritage over three days with music, traditional and community programmes. The festival is not centred around a single stage: at various locations across the Old Village, concerts, performances, family programmes and events showcasing local traditions take place one after the other. It’s well worth taking your time to stroll through the neighbourhood, pop into the old courtyards, and then stay for whichever programme takes your fancy.
